  • Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud software suite)

  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Three (3) years of professional experience

 

  • Experience using Google AdWords/Display Network, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, email marketing, and other digital marketing platforms
  • Experience managing social media strategy across multiple accounts and platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

Supports the strategic mission of the School of Music (SOM) through the development, implementation, measurement, and optimization of sophisticated marketing and community outreach initiatives. Responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive strategic marketing plan to support key SOM activities and programs while driving ticket sales and attendance for public events including student ensemble concerts, featured performances, and community outreach events. Collaborates with SOM staff, administration, students, and faculty to grow awareness among prospective students and the general public. Manages the public communication of the SOM by deploying campaigns and strategies across various platforms including SOM website, other web assets, social media accounts, digital advertisements, email marketing, internal and external news coverage, and event listings.

  • Create event-specific marketing and promotional plans, including strategic advertisement placements for featured events
  • Develop goals and objectives for SOM outreach activities and create a strategic outreach and recruitment contact plan
  • Track, measure, evaluate, and report data results and effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns
  • Serve as project manager for SOM outreach events
  • Coordinate creation and strategic deployment of press releases, email marketing campaigns, audio/visual digital media assets, and other promotional copy
  • Manage design, production, and execution of advertising campaigns promoting featured events and create and design concert programs
  • Publish and maintain public event calendars on the SOM website, Facebook, live streaming calendar, KSU Master Calendar, and other online listings
  • Manage SOM website design, content updates and optimization projects
  • Manage all social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Responsible for creating department performance event program layout, graphic design and production
  • Serve as budget manager for funds identified for marketing and outreach as assigned by Director
  • Serve as on site event manager as assigned for School of Music and other events booked in the Bailey Performance Center, The School of Music, and College of the Arts
