Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO). The certified Aquatic Facility Operator will assist the Coordinator of Aquatics with the daily maintenance and upkeep of four (4) bodies of water managed by the Department of Sports and Recreation on two campuses (Kennesaw and Marietta campuses). The bodies of water include two indoor lap pools, an outdoor leisure pool, and outdoor spa. This position is expected to accurately diagnose and perform repairs on pool equipment as well as work with various units within the Facilities Services to maintain pool operations. The successful candidate will have hands on experience working with pool chemicals, pumps, motors and filters in a pool setting. A vital component of this position is a strong commitment to teamwork, best practices, customer service, and ethical practices.

High School graduate or GED and 2 years related supervisory and/or management work experience.
Prefer: Technical knowledge of pool equipment to purchase, able to multi- task, and able to work with frequent interruptions. Able to swim fifty yards. Ability to read construction documents and blueprints. CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer (CPRO), Lifeguard certification, Lifeguard Instructor
